Hair Loss Questions : Women

I am female and 33. I have been losing my hair for three years my doctor keeps saying it's stress. While I was under a great deal of stress for the last two years my life has calmed down but my hair is still getting thinner. I had no stress and my hair is getting thinner. This is realy upsetting and nothing works. I have tried hair products and pills. I also have stomach trouble but my doctor can't figure this out but I feel this might be related to the hair loss I am experiencing. Could you advise me please of what I could try?
- By Sharon

Dear Sharon

If your hair continuous to thin over this time period, it is most likely that you are experiencing Female Pattern Hair Loss. You should however make sure that you do not have thyroid issues, anemia or low iron with your primary care physician. If your hair loss is due to Female Pattern Hair Loss then you will benefit from using Revivogen Scalp Therapy.

I noticed that you are not showing products for female hair loss. Is it the same product for both men and women.
- By Gina H.

Dear Gina H.

The cause of hair loss is exactly the same for men and women so the same Revivogen formula works for women just as well.

I am 18, female. I have been using Revivogen solution for nearly one month. I have got oily hair, so I need to wash my hair everyday. Since I the supply of Revivogen shampoo is not enough for 3 months use, can I use any other herbal shampoo or olive-oil soap when Revivogen shampoo runs out?
- By Latife

Dear Latife

You may use other shampoos or conditioners along with Revivogen as long as they are gentle and will not irritate or damage the scalp.

I am a 55 yr old female and have been losing my hair for the last two to three years. I went to a dermatologist and he gave me cortisone injections in my scalp once a month for about a year and started me on Propecia. I am no longer seeing the dermatologist but am still on Propecia. I always had oily hair but now it is very dry, fine and thin. Hair loss is all over the scalp but most noticeably on top front of my head. Am I a good candidate for Revivogen as far as growing and thickening my hair?
- By Rose

Dear Rose

For Female Pattern Hair Loss, Revivogen should work very well for you. You need to have baby fine hairs on your scalp. These hairs will turn into more thicker terminal hairs over time.

Hello I have PCOS/high blood pressure and have done more research and it looks like I am Estrogen dominant.I know my Testosterone is above normal.I am concerned that my hair follicles may have died its been over three years since I have been balding and thinning. Its been more like 4-5 years.I massage the area and use essential oils even a growth aid in that area. It seems like it wants to grow.I do have peach fuzz but looks thin. At one point my scalp was tender and at one point I had a bump there.Do you still think that your product will work? At this point its worth the risk. Could their be any other factors to my hair loss. I eat healthy and exercise I know that helps with circulating the blood to the follicle to absorb other nutrients.I would like to take a holistic approach to my hair and health.I take a vitamin called Multi-betic to lower my blood sugar which in turn should help with the androgens in association with Testosterone to DHT. I am sure you understand what I mean. It's much like a domino affect.
- By Tasha

Dear Tasha

You will benefit from using Revivogen since the high level of Androgens that is circulating in your body will result in hair loss and Revivogen works to reduce the negative effects of these Androgens. If you want to work on the PCOS for your overall health, please ask your physician about Aldactone.

I'm a woman in her 50's battling hair loss for 15 years, I have used Revivogen everyday for the last many years. What is the best type of hair brush to use, the ones I have used actually pull out hair (I can feel that it does). My hair is color treated and coarse and I maintain only about 25% of an actual head of hair.
- By Fran

Dear Fran

Try using a brush that has metal teeth that are far apart. The idea is to reduce friction between the brush and your hair.
